The farmer and processor behind the Mas Iyan brand is Supriyanto (Mas means “Mr.” and Iyan is his nickname). He was born in the village of Kampong Kopi Kluncing in the Bondowoso region of Indonesia and has been growing coffee since 2006. Coffee farming in this region is a family tradition that dates back to the Dutch colonial era.
In 2016, he began developing his own post-harvest processing methods. He grows coffee in the Si Buled (1400 m) and Gunung Suket (1700 m) areas, cultivating Typica, Bourbon, and Hybrid varieties. During the post-harvest season, he focuses on careful farm management to maintain quality and consistency.
